Cool Tools 3 - Fotobabble

Fotobabble is an intuitive, easy to use Web 2.0 tool that whenever I have shown it to people, they have made an instant connection with how it could be used in their classroom. Some ways that I have seen it used effectively are:
  • student reflections on writing samples
  • showcasing samples of work that demonstrate the achievement of learning goals
  • recording of ideas for story-writing
  • recording of ideas for seeds of writing in the Writer's Workshop Process
  • support tool for Reciprocal Reading strategies - predictions, clarifying questions etc for a extract of writing
Fotobabble only requires the ability to upload pictures and an enabled microphone to record the narration.
